How To Book An Appointment

Go to the eHomeAffairs website
Visit ehomeaffairs.dha.gov.za on your phone or computer.

Create an account or log in
Register with your ID number, email, and phone number. If you already have an account just log in.

Select the service you need
Choose from Smart ID, passport, birth certificate, etc.

Choose your nearest office
Select the Home Affairs office closest to you.

Pick a date and time
Select an available appointment slot. Morning slots are usually less busy.

Confirm your booking
You'll receive a confirmation email and SMS with your appointment details. Screenshot this.

For Smart ID Card

- Payment: R400 (standard) or R600 (urgent)
